ACM is thrilled to announce that Metropolis Downtime is BACK!
Celebrating 25 years as the powerhouse of the music industry, the legendary Metropolis Studios, situated in Chiswick, London, offers exclusive access to its iconic facilities to ACM students.
The time and date will vary each week depending on the schedule of the studio, with slots being announced via the Industry Link newsletter on the Monday of each week. This is one of many exclusive benefits ACM students enjoy during their time as a student and hereafter. You’ll get a chance to record at one of the world’s most prestigious recording and mastering houses, where 50% of chart music is made, and this opportunity comes as a result of our special and exclusive partnership with Metropolis.
Metropolis Downtime is run on a first-come-first-serve basis and requests must be submitted to and approved by the Industry Link team. To apply, simply check the available slots via the Industry Link newsletter or weekly blog post and get in touch with industrylink@acm.ac.uk providing the following information:
- Date of choice
- Band/Artist Name
- Contact Details
- Your purpose for the session (e.g. to record drums, guitars, vocals, etc)
- A list of people who will be present at the session.
Please ensure you bring your A-Game and come well-rehearsed to record without any complications. You’ll be working with experienced engineers in a professional environment, so you must come prepared to record – especially as your time may be limited. If your application is successful, you’ll hear back from one of our Industry Link team members who will provide you with more details.
