In partnership with Metropolis Studios, ACM is proud to announce a new contest “Metropolis Blue The Competition”, open to artists and producers (15+). The prize? To follow in the footsteps of some of the industry’s biggest artists, and receive an exclusive recording session at Europe’s largest recording facility, Metropolis. An unlimited number of bands and artists may enter from each school; who will then be whittled down to five acts, one from each institution. The winner will be decided by the Metropolis Blue team, a brand new, student-led record label, chosen at the competition’s final in the Electric Theatre, Guildford. So get writing and recording, because the submission deadline is just a short time away – 22nd March!
To enter the competition, get your school or college to email thecompetition@thisismetropolis.com to receive an application form (free to enter!), and make sure you join the Facebook group for the latest updates and tips.
“This is a great opportunity for us to build lasting relationships with music departments, through opening the facilities and industry expertise we have here at ACM and Metropolis to colleges and schools as part of our engagement and outreach work. We want the project to really inspire the next generation of musicians and creatives to pursue their passions. We will also be supporting teachers in delivering engaging learning experiences by opening our doors and working together to enrich the learning journey of participants and nurturing their talent.”
