At ACM we pride ourselves on offering an immersive and unparalleled learning experience that centres on a learning by doing approach.

We want to ignite our students’ imaginations and teach them how to build, sustain and develop a sustainable career from those who have had careers spanning from the analogue to digital age. We have an array of mentors for all disciplines as we know the importance of having access to advice and guidance.

Our mentors will help you grow your skills, make better decisions, and gain new perspectives on your life and career. As a mentee, your mentor will leverage their experience to give you guidance on your career or life now and in the future. Rather than learning through trial and error, a mentor is a person you can look to for direction and a role model to imitate.

Some specific aims of the Mentoring scheme are:

  • To provide career advice to students actively wishing to progress
  • To support students who are struggling academically, emotionally, medically or financially
  • To support and encourage students to think and act constructively for themselves
  • To direct students towards professional and specialist advice and support when appropriate
  • To help students move forward in a positive direction from any starting position to a more positive one
