Join us with Grammy Award-winning engineer, Liam Nolan, and renowned vocal coach, Jono McNeil as we delve into the signal path from the microphone all the way to the mixing desk, and everything in between.

Liam Nolan will share his expertise on mic placement, preamp selection, and signal processing techniques to ensure the best possible sound from each microphone.

Meanwhile, Jono McNeil will provide invaluable insights on mic technique and vocal production. With years of experience coaching some of the world’s most celebrated vocalists, Jono will guide us through the various approaches to vocal performance and how they interact with the different microphones.

Together, we will explore the unique characteristics of each microphone, such as their frequency response, polar patterns, and transient response, and how these factors can impact the final recording.

Join us at Metropolis Studios for a day of education, inspiration, and experimentation as we explore the world of microphones and vocal production.

The event runs from 12:00 to 20:00 including a live showcase by some of ACMs best talent.
