This post was written more than two years ago. The content or information below may no longer be accurate.

The ACM community continues to stay connected, creative and informed with the huge success of DigiFreshers and Induction to kick-start the academic year! September also saw ACM crown student Teddy Reiss the ACM Songwriting Challenge winner (awarded two fantastic prizes from Shure). We continued to deliver regular Instagram Live sessions, with the likes of Yamaha and UK Music, and recognised work from students, alumni and tutors across a range of fantastic projects. Finally, check out our new Digital Open Day dates for October and November!

DigiFreshers and Induction

Students joined us for a whole host of online masterclasses, workshops, student drop-ins, performances, industry panels, daily competitions, quizzes, with incredible guests including Paul Jones from Rough Trade, Studio Guitarist Lewis Allen, Vocal Coach Sophie Garner and acclaimed musician Jack Duxbury, just to name a few! Check out our highlights videos:

Well done to ACM Creative Artist Degree (Rap & MC) Student Teddy Reiss and his stand-out track, aptly called ‘Freshers’. This mesmerising song/video is not only incredibly well-produced but masterfully performed too. We’re proud to announce the Shure prizes (a pair of Shure SRH440 Studio Headphones + a Shure SM58 Microphone) have now been sent to Teddy!

ACM Collaborations and Projects

An incredible collaboration from the ACM Soul Workshop and their amazing rendition of Shanice’s ‘He Won’t’! Thank you to everyone involved in this soul-tastic tribute, including all of our students and ACM Tutor, Brian Henry.

ACM Tutors Mike Nichols (bass), Amy Walton (vocals), Giorgio Serci (guitar) and Toby Drummond (drums), worked together on an incredible cover of jazz-standard, “You Don’t Know What Love Is”, originally recorded by the likes of Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong and Miles Davis!
