A selection of ACM’s finest artists, hand-picked to end your week on a high. Discover more on our This Is ACM playlist!

Whitelands – Paradise Is A Person

Take the shoe-gazey, mellow sounds of the indie/alt band Turnover, combined with the pensive soundscapes of dream-pop duo Beach House, and you’ll find yourself somewhere within the sunny isles of the wonderfully idyllic band Whitelands. Fashioning a vintage-style production with reverb-laden vocals, this track is a heavenly blend of introvertive indie-pop and gritty post-rock. Take a listen below for a wistful journey of reflective lyricism, crooning vocals and a stunning combination of lusciously-toned guitars. Check out Whitelands Instagram for more on the band!

Jessie Dipper – Audience of One

Described as “a female version of Ed Sheeran” and “Bjork and Lily Allen on acid”, ACM Birmingham alumna and Award nominated emerging indie singer-songwriter, Jessie Dipper, has just released her debut album – with the album title track called ‘Audience of One’ – and we couldn’t be more excited. Jessie showcases her distinct style of compressed gritty vocals, overdriven grunge-inspired guitars, with an infectious beat that’ll propel you into the weekend. If you want to learn more about Jessie and her upcoming music find her on Instagram.

Luke Lorenz – Fatherless

For many artists, sustaining a level of authenticity within their creations can be a difficult feat to manage. Luke Lorenz however, is an artist that lays his cards well and truly on the table. As he continually establishes his brand as someone who is unforgivably honest, ‘Fatherless’ exists as no exception. Hosting clear cut, inspiringly personal lyrics leading as a centre-point, Lorenz incorporates eerily dark piano keys alongside a mammoth beat. Learn more about Luke on Instagram.

Dirty Rose – Air Guitar Hero

Grab your most tightly-fitted pair of leather trousers, brush your hair into unseen volumes and blast this number up to similar heights, and you’ll find yourself on track to be master (or should we say hero) of one of rock’ n roll’s favourite pastimes. Hosting none other than the National Champion of air guitar for the UK ‘Sven Spandex’ on vocals and lyrics that you could probably imagine being featured in a School of Rock spin-off, this track will get you ready for a weekend full of endless fun and late night sing-a-longs. As much as here at ACM we’d like you to practice your real guitar this weekend, we’ll let you off just this once. Check Dirty Rose out on Instagram!
