We have proudly awarded Dima Rizk the Educational Innovation: Empowering Others Award at 2017’s Positive for Youth Awards.
ACM sponsored the Educational Innovation: Empowering Others Award at this year’s Positive for Youth Awards. Presented by Ace, our Head of Creative Industry Development (and also the guitarist in Skunk Anansie), Dima Rizk was awarded the prize. Chosen for her work as a UN human rights activist who crafts ‘bracelets of change’ to support the building of schools around the world via her own organisation, Dima also holds the role of Gimmemo UN UK Ambassador. As a thoroughly deserving recipient, we were thrilled to present her with this prestigious award.
As a prize for her hard work and determination to help others, we have also given Dima an exclusive pass to attend our September masterclasses at any ACM campus as a special guest. September is set to be jam-packed with masterclasses planned for our Freshers’ Week – we hope that Dima will take away a lot from her ACM experience!
“It was such an honour to present Dima with this award. We look for drive, passion and potential in all our students at ACM and it’s something Dima has in abundance. She is an excellent role model to our students and I’m thrilled to be seeing her again at some very special masterclasses in September.”
Ace, Head of Creative Industry Development, ACM
Alongside presenting the award, we were very proud to see our own students Chinchilla and Nabsora perform at the Positive for Youth Awards. Both delivering impeccable performances, it was clear that they left a real impression on the esteemed audience.
We still have limited spaces available on our courses at ACM Guildford, ACM London and ACM Birmingham via UCAS Clearing. If you’d like to join the next generation of the music industry, get in touch with our Admissions team on 01483 500 841 to discuss your options.
