After the huge success of the very first Birmingham Music Awards, ACM is delighted to be a key sponsor at the BMA’s monthly Music Industry Networking events…
In May, we sponsored the inaugural Birmingham Music Awards where stars such as UB40 and Duran Duran’s John Taylor joined up-and-coming musicians for a night of celebration and recognition in the city. The same team have just announced the launch of a monthly music industry networking event at Digbeth’s Custard Factory and we’re excited to be a key sponsor.
The VIP Launch Party will take place in the courtyard outside the renowned Mockingbird Cinema on Wednesday 19th September. Hundreds of artists and music industry professionals are expected to flock to the event which aims to bring Birmingham’s music community together.
“The turnout at, and reaction to, the inaugural Birmingham Music Awards ceremony in May was incredible. Artists rubbed shoulders with labels, producers, writers, managers, publishers, radio, TV and press, and the overwhelming response was that we need to create these opportunities as often as possible. So we teamed up with the Custard Factory and the Mockingbird to host a monthly networking and showcase event for the entire Birmingham music community. Our ultimate objective is to conceive and grow one big music family which works together to deliver the recognition our city deserves, and more music success stories made in Birmingham.”
Jo Jeffries, BMA Co-Founder
Musicians, music industry professionals, and all those aspiring to a career in music, are invited to head along to the Custard Factory from 6pm for the Launch Party. As well as having the opportunity to schmooze with the music industry, there will be live music from up-and-coming Birmingham acts to enjoy, as well as food and drink on sale until late.
