During these unprecedented times, the ACM Community has had to pull together, adapt and utilise online resources to keep creative and informed. April saw ACM introduce a new initiative and hashtag called #ACMatHome, allowing students, alumni and staff members to keep connected. We have also started up daily Instagram Live sessions with tutors and staff, alongside our new Digital Open Day experience, to keep the wider community updated on what ACM has to offer! Here are just a few examples of what the community has been up to…

Collaborations

ACM alumna Tallie featured on Gary Barlow‘s ‘The Crooner Sessions’ this month with an incredible rendition of ‘Killing Me Softly’:

ACM’s Ace (Director of Creative Industry Development) took part in PRS Guitars’ first ‘Isolation Session’:

Charity Singles

Students and alumni across all campuses continue to fundraise for charities, in support of the NHS and key workers.

We saw ACM alumnus Mike King head up the Breathe Harmony NHS Choir Charity Single, working with ACM tutor Damien Nolan, Breathe Arts Health Research, MyCool Music Foundation and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Choir, to create “a global message of solidarity” amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Together they recorded an incredible rendition of  Mariah Carey’s ‘Anytime You Need A Friend’:

ACM Student Josh Hicks and friends produced their charity track, ‘Let’s Say Thanks’, in support of the NHS:

ACM alumni function band Rhythm Of The Night released their single ‘True Colours’ to thank the NHS:
