With a Master of Arts in Creative Economy and extensive experience at the University of Portsmouth and Lancashire Museums Service, Martin brings a wealth of knowledge to Martin’s role as a Learning Support Assistant at ACM since 2019. Dean McCaw

Dean McCaw, specialising in Songwriting and Drums at ACM, brings a wealth of experience as a full-time member of the band China Bears and the writing and production trio Spacemen. With extensive credits in songwriting, production, and instrumental performance, Dean has contributed to projects for various artists including Dan Aura, Ida Just, Lauren Dejey, and Rila’s Edge. Dean’s versatility extends to serving as a session musician and musical director for artists such as Emily Jefferi, Raffi Maxwell, and Ollie Wade. Dean highlights ACM’s nurturing environment for collaboration and networking, emphasising the role of the institution in shaping career trajectories. Michael Dunn

Michael Dunn boasts a diverse professional background spanning Bass Guitar, Double Bass, Keys, Composition, Live Performance, Music Direction, Music Theory, and Music Education. At ACM, their specialism lies in Bass, Keys, Composition, Sight Reading, Ear Training, and Music Theory. With over 30 years of experience as a freelance musician across North and South America, as well as Europe, Dunn brings a wealth of expertise to their teaching. They highlight the collaborative environment as the best aspect of ACM, relishing the opportunity to work with like-minded students and tutors in a vibrant musical setting. Dunn offers three valuable tips for students: firstly, recognizing their deserving spot at ACM; secondly, emphasising daily musical engagement, especially with peers; and finally, encouraging students to embrace music as a lifelong journey filled with enjoyment and growth.

Chas WISDM

Chas Wisdm brings a diverse professional background as an artist, label owner, journalist, and educator. As the Senior Lecturer of Rap/MC HE at ACM, Chas specialises in imparting invaluable knowledge and skills in the realm of hip-hop. With a remarkable list of credits and experiences including the creation of the largest Remix in Hip Hop History with “Bars 50MC Remix,” festival appearances at renowned events like Boomtown, and collaborations with esteemed artists such as Doc Brown and Jamie Cullum, Chas expertise is unparalleled. Holding prestigious accolades like the MOBO Awards in 2021, 2022, and 2024, Chas stands as a beacon of excellence in the industry. When asked about the best thing about ACM, Chas highlighted, “The wealth of knowledge and experience collectively amongst the ACM is far above any other music University in the world!” Chas’ top three tips for students emphasise the importance of hard work, openness to learning and collaboration, and the value of punctuality.

Dave Tyler

Dave Tyler brings a wealth of experience to ACM, encompassing roles as a freelance bass player, touring artist, business director, and CLOCK Sector Expert and Peer Reviewer. Dave specialisation lies in the Masters program and the business pathway for undergraduates. With 15 years of international touring experience and tour management responsibilities, Dave has a deep understanding of the music industry. Dave has also showcased his talents as a songwriter, designer, and business director with his band, Bare Jams. As a CLOCK Peer Reviewer and creative industries bootcamp leader, Dave is committed to fostering growth and innovation in the industry. At ACM, Dave emphasises the importance of collaborative, networking-focused learning. Dave’s top tips for students include building a strong network, utilising ACM’s facilities, and leveraging the diverse expertise of faculty members to maximise learning opportunities.

Lee Gold

Lee Gold is a highly accomplished singer, pianist, arranger, and musical director from South Africa, now based in London, UK. Lee holds a Bmus Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction from the University of Cape Town, where they trained under renowned vocal stars like Deborah Tanguy and Natasha Roth. Lee has garnered numerous awards and achievements, with Lee’s vocals featured on movie soundtracks and commercial campaigns. Notable highlights include performing with Grammy award-winning band Collective Soul and touring with 70’s/80’s Soul legends George McCrae and Lenny Zakatek. Lee’s versatility spans jazz, soul, and pop genres, with regular performances at prestigious venues like Boisdale Restaurants and Ronnie Scott’s Bar. At ACM, Lee’s specialism lies in vocals, and they value the exciting and nurturing environment and the knowledgeable tutors. Steff Fish

Steff Fish brings a diverse skill set to ACM, drawing from their experience as a vocalist, performer, songwriter, and vocal coach. With their band Giant Walker, they’ve garnered acclaim from prominent media outlets and toured extensively across the UK. As a vocal coach, Steph is dedicated to empowering singers and performers to discover their unique voice, holding accreditation with Vocology In Practice and prioritising vocal health. At ACM, their specialism lies in vocals, where they share their expertise with students. Steph values the sense of community at ACM, fostering a supportive environment for students to thrive. Steff’s top tips for students include making the most of tutorials, emphasising consistency, and embracing a mindset of continuous improvement, echoing the wisdom of renowned producer Rick Rubin.

Ineza Kerschkamp

Ineza Kerschkamp, a seasoned vocalist, brings a wealth of experience to ACM. Ineza’s credits include touring with renowned artists like Tom Odell and the Down For The Count Big Band, as well as performing with prestigious ensembles like the BBC Concert Orchestra. In addition, they have contributed to the soundtrack of the BBC 2 Documentary ‘Silverback’ and showcased their talent in the immersive theatre production ‘The Greatest Night Of The Jazz Age’ in London. At ACM, Ineza specialises in vocals, where they impart their expertise to aspiring musicians.
