What is an integrated masters?

An integrated masters is a course that includes a degree and masters in one qualification. Students will graduate with a single certificate at postgraduate master’s level.

 At ACM you can study an integrated masters as a 3-year accelerated course, or in the traditional 4-year study mode. In both instances the final year is the ‘masters’ year where you will complete a full 180 credit masters.

Suitable for: Students aged 18+ (including mature students) who want to gain a masters qualification in the same time period as most students will achieve a degree. The entry requirements are higher for this course and a successful audition is essential to secure your place. You do not need to

Qualification type: Students who complete this course will be awarded a Masters in the Cultural & Creative Industries (MCCI) in Creative Industries Futures.

 

What is a postgraduate masters?

 A postgraduate masters is a course that students traditionally complete after finishing their undergraduate degree. It is an opportunity to specialise in your subject area by developing your own area of research or applied practice.

Suitable for: Graduates and Industry Professionals who want to gain a masters qualification. The entry requirements are a honours degree with a minimum of a 2:2 classification and a successful interview is essential to secure your place. 

Qualification type: Students who complete this course will be awarded a Master’s in Creative Industries Futures. This award can be gained as a MSc. or a MA.

 

What is an undergraduate degree?

An undergraduate degree is a course that students traditionally complete after finishing their secondary education or as a mature student. It is an opportunity to develop your own area of creative business or practice.

Suitable for: Students with the required UCAS points or Industry Professionals who want to gain an undergraduate degree. 

Qualification type: Students who complete this course will be awarded a Degree in Creative Industries Futures. This award can be gained as a BSc. or a BA.

 

What is a foundation year?

A foundation year is for those people, who are unable to currently meet the entry criteria for an undergraduate degree. This gives them the opportunity to up skill their portfolio in specific areas to be ready for their undergraduate degree. The Foundation portfolio enables successful students to access the undergraduate degree programme that they have worked towards.   

Suitable for: School leavers and over 18’s without the required UCAS points or the practice skills to achieve an undergraduate degree. 

Qualification type: Students who complete this course will be able to access the 2-year accelerated degree.
