The Production Summer School Course equips students with essential skills in Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) proficiency and live recording techniques.
Key components include:
DAW Skills: Students learn to use DAWs for creating and manipulating audio, including loops, samples, and overall music production. This includes mastering various software tools and understanding the workflow for efficient music production.
Live Recording Techniques: The course covers the essentials of live recording, including microphone placement, signal flow, and mixing. Students gain hands-on experience in studios, learning how to record live instruments and vocals to produce professional-quality recordings.
Music Production: Combining DAW skills and live recording, students will work on complete music production projects, understanding how to bring together different elements to create cohesive and polished tracks.
This course acts as a progression route into ACM’s full-time production-based programmes:
Advanced Techniques: Full-time courses offer a deeper exploration into advanced DAW functions, complex recording setups, and sophisticated production techniques.

Progression
Of-age Diploma learners may surpass an audition upon successful completion of the Summer School or Part-Time School.
