Any new band looking to make waves in today’s music industry will admit it’s hard to get yourself heard, but Reading melodic metallers, and ACM Alumni, We Caught the Castle are on the cusp of making their break-through.
After meeting at ACM the female-fronted five-piece have since signed to Brighton’s Angry Badger Records and have been raking up the gig hours. As well as their forthcoming album release the band have a busy few months ahead playing at this years Redfest (20th July) before taking to the Reading Festival stage alongside Borderline:Fire, Attention Thieves as well as main stage acts Modestep, Kids In Glass Houses and Young Guns.
Their debut album, Time To Grow follows on from where their EP Lips left off, combining crunching guitars and easy-on-the-ear melodies, which harmonise the sounds of nu-metal, pop-core and pop-punk.
“The album is about the reality of growing up and hitting the real world, trying to make it in a band. To make it work in a band you have to work seriously hard, you have to put 100% of your time into it. We are all just working and touring so we can do this. We have been lucky where our jobs give us enough time to play gigs in the evening.”

ACM would like to wish We Caught the Castle the very best of luck with the album release and their forthcoming live dates. You can catch up with We Caught the Castle online via Twitter and Facebook feeds.
