Mat is an experienced drummer and has been a part of Iggy Pop’s band for the last five years. Mat is widely known for his hard hitting groove and stylistic adaptability. This has been showcased in his recent work with the immersive and visceral live rock/film show Gutterdammerung, during which he worked with the likes of Grace Jones and Henry Rollins.

Mat previously worked with Thomas Dolby, completing a number of US and world tours, recording on his last studio album “A Map Of The Floating City” as well the live album “Thomas Dolby – Live in Tokyo” and appeared on the anniversary edition of “The Old Grey Whistle Test”.

Mat also performed with Marc Almond, Hotei and legendary Bowie pianist Mike Garson on the Aladdin Sane tour.
