Alex is a guitarist with extensive freelance experience.  He has been performing professionally since the early ‘00s in all kinds of settings ranging from musical theatre and pantomime, to original projects and function/corporate work.  He is also an experienced teacher of contemporary guitar (and music in general) and takes great pleasure in being able to assist young musicians in furthering their knowledge and achieving their goals.

Alex has studied music at every opportunity and holds Master’s Degree in Performance (with distinction) from the University of Surrey.  Career highlights have included sharing the bill with Donovan at The Great British Folk Festival, supporting The Blockheads on a recent UK tour.

Outside of ACM Alex’s main passion is Gypsy Jazz and he keeps a busy diary with his quartet playing classic repertoire as well as original compositions.

Alex is delighted to be putting his skills to use at ACM and currently teaches a range of classes across the FE school, as well as being the course lead for the Level 2 diploma.
