Simon is a Grammy Award-winning mixer and producer with 30 years of music industry experience. He started out as a singer and guitarist, and played keyboards on tour in Japan with electropop band Dead Or Alive. In 1988 he joined Mayfair Studios where he engineered hundreds of sessions and mixed the hits ‘Altogether Now’ by The Farm and ‘Missing You’ by Soul II Soul. In 1992, Simon worked on the New Order album ‘Republic’, which led to him touring with the band as their programmer. At the end of the ‘90s he teamed up with Nellee Hooper, which led to him becoming engineer of choice for acts such as No Doubt, Gwen Stefani, U2, Massive Attack and Andrea Corr.

In 2007, Simon opened his own SSL-equipped production and mix studio, Hub II, and projects have included the 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, Danny Boyle’s ‘Trance’ with Underworld and Paloma Faith’s ‘Fall To Grace’ album. Other artists he’s worked with during his time in the industry include Texas, Gang Of Four, Tracey Thorn, Little Boots, Manic Street Preachers, King Creosote and Athlete. He produces and writes with new, unsigned acts and is a full member of the Music Producers Guild.
