Doors open at 1pm / Up to £18 / ID Required

Trinity Folk Festival has been bringing the best folk, roots, and acoustic music to Guildford since 2013.

Founded by music lovers Paul and Carolyn Graham to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the building Holy Trinity Church, Guildford, the festival has grown to become a significant festival on the folk scene.

The festival now takes place just off Guildford’s cobbled High Street at St Mary’s Church – the oldest building in Guildford – and features three stages, situated inside the church, outside in the churchyard, and, free to the public, at Guildford’s Rotunda.

For the first time in 2015, the festival teamed up with the nearby the Star Inn to put on a late night show after the main festival closed. For 2016 a Friday night event will be added in co-ordination with well established local music venue the Boileroom.

Taking inspiration from artists such as Sharon Van Etten, William Fitzsimmons and Angel Olsen Ellie documents the process of growing up in lyrical form, writing about heartbreak, depression, changing friendships and navigating the journey to self discovery.

She recently released a new EP, “Here We Are”, showcasing a more developed sound and lyrics that show how she has matured over the last three years.

  • Claudia Stark // Facebook

Claudia Stark is a 21 year-old singer/songwriter from Surrey, who has been inspiring audiences for over 4 years with her crowd silencing, catchy indie folk songs. Her personal, socially swayed lyrics bring issues to mind that cut to the heart of the jaded person within all of us.

Becoming increasingly aware of the struggles and injustices faced by those around her, Claudia first picked up a guitar in an attempt to have her opinions heard. After receiving notable support at her early shows, she began to see the reach she could have with the music she creates.
