After dozens of entries, three fantastic heats and a riveting final, we are pleased to crown the winners of ACM’s Battle of the Band for 2013 as The Badland Roots!

Facing stiff competition from fellow finalists Little Grim and Nuvae, The Badland Roots with their combination of dirty blues, funky big riffs and grooves won over the gathered crowd. After each of the three acts had performed their set the audience was set the unenviable challenge of voting the 2013 winner and recipient of £400 of Andertons Music Store vouchers and studio time at Empire Studios.

“The Battle Of The Bands final was a great night with a really eclectic mix of 3 finalists who all rocked the Boileroom. The turnout was a huge success, even with the English summer rain belting down, the crowds still turned up in abundance. Congratulations to 2013’s winners The Badland Roots and we look forward to next years competition!”

“We would like to say a huge thanks to Acm and the Bdc for the opportunity to play and to everyone who came down on a rainy Wednesday to support us! We have only been a band for a little while so we were thrilled to have even been entered let alone win the competition! We are itching to make good use of our studio time keep an eye out!
