ACM provides superstar student performers for Surrey Young Superstar Awards.
On 8th May, ACM band Sweet Revenge delivered some fantastic entertainment at this year’s Surrey Young Superstars Awards. Having won a competition organised by the Academy of Contemporary Music and Surrey Young Superstars, the band were delighted to be able to play at such an important event, celebrating the youth of Surrey.
Held at the Guildford Harbour hotel supporting local charity Cardiac Arrest in the Young (CRY), the aim of the awards was to celebrate the hard work and achievements of those between the ages of 5 and 19. Presented by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey, Michael More-Molyneux, the day was a huge success and all those in attendance were blown away by Sweet Revenge.
“I first saw this band when I was on a Discovery and Development panel at the music college. Not all of the band members attend the college, but all of the musicians are young, incredibly talented and are already working at a high standard, despite their age. They have obviously worked hard and are totally committed to their project. The performance was fresh and exciting and certainly woke the panel of judges up!. I look forward to watching the band’s journey to success!”
Aly Duff Vocal Tutor“The opportunity came about through ACM’s Industry Link department. We have been gigging recently around Guildford and London, and that had attracted some attention. We played our upcoming single at the Surrey Young Superstars Awards and that will be released later this year.”
