ACM is pleased to welcome vocalist Sharleen Linton to deliver a vocal guest lecture to degree vocalists.
Sharleen Linton began her career in gospel choirs before establishing herself as a session musician working with some of the biggest names in the pop industry including; Natasha Bedingfield, Craig David, Beverley Knight, John Legend, Westlife and Il Divo!
Sharleen will also be covering…..qualities required for a good session singer and backing vocalist; tips about what kind of people succeed in the industry; classifying the essential vocal skills; a review of the right attitude that one singer should bring to the industry; career strategies; making publicity packs and using online music forums.
This guest lecture is open to ALL current vocal degree students (years one and two) and will take place on Thursday 22 November at 11am in the Business Room in Global House. The ACM first year degree singers will have the opportunity to showcase their own backing vocal arrangements for Sharleen to workshop.
Tickets are not required, but please allow extra time to ensure you arrive in plenty of time and so the guest lecture can start promptly.
