We hope you were all able to catch a brand new BBC3 documentary entitled The School that Rocks that aired on Wednesday 19th March at 8pm.
The one hour program which was part of BBC3’s new Fresh season, was an on the ground view of what it’s like to be a student at a specialist music school and more specifically at ACM, The Academy of Contemporary Music.
About ‘The School that Rocks’
The documentary followed pupils at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, Surrey, as they learnt the skills they need for a career in music. First year gospel singer Henrietta struggles to shine in a class full of strong vocalists, 19-year-old Ella works on finding a signature sound, trainee producer James returns to college after feeling let down by the music industry, and college band Massmatiks search for a record deal.
