ACM were proud to welcome Russell Gilbrook to ACM to deliver a drumming masterclass to members of our Music Performance School.

Russell had his first lesson when he was just 4 years old, was earning money from music at the age of 6, and was depping West End shows at the age of 12. At just 16 years of age, Russell turned pro, and did everything from cabaret, cruises & touring shows to pub gigs & sessions.

Since then, Russell has toured with acts like Alan Price (The Animals) Chris Barber’s Jazz and Blues band and Van Morrison, as well as working with Toni Iommi (Black Sabbath).

He’s a member of the legendary band Uriah Heep, and to date has toured in over 53 countries. In 2011 the band toured 23 countries in 229 days. Uriah Heep have sold over 40 million albums worldwide and have 2 European Grammy awards.

ACM would like to thank Russell for the time he spent with our students and hope that he enjoyed his time talking all things drums.
