Since 2009 five-piece rock band Orestea have been journeying the UK music circuit honing their sound and delivering a different, but refreshing approach to rock. Alongside fellow ACM 2011 Performance Alumni Lloyd Wilson (Guitar) and Mike Quinn (Bass), ACM Vocal Alumni Lisa Avon have recently hit the headlines thanks to Music Week’s Series ‘Music Week Presents’.

Having already been featured across a multitude of national and international publications including BBC Introducing, Kerrang, Grindhouse Magazine and Burrn Magazine, the band are hard at work promoting and touring their September 2012 E.P. ‘This is An Overture’.
Their previous full length release ‘Love Lines & Blood Ties’ (2010 – released by Spinning Records) which showcased their remarkable diversity and heavy intensity, was recorded by Mike Curtis (InMe, Forever Never) and mastered in New York by Alan Douches (Mastodon, Converge, Ben Folds Five). This will certainly be the benchmark for the production and preparation of Orestea’s new forthcoming full length album expected in 2013.
ACM would like to congratulate Orestea on the recent Music Week feature and wish them the very best of luck with their forthcoming projects and look forward to catching up with ACM Alumni Lisa, Lloyd and Mike again soon.
