We’re hugely excited to let you know about the brand new one-year UAL Level 2 Diploma in Music Performance and Production course that we’ll be running from this September at our ACM Guildford college.
The course has been developed to provide an understanding of music performance and production in preparation for a career in the music industry, while at the same time giving students the opportunity to complete recognised qualifications in English and Maths. This means that if you didn’t get the GCSEs you were hoping for, then it’s not a problem – you can retake them alongside the Level 2 Diploma, giving you another chance to work towards your planned music career. And what’s more… the programme is fully funded through the Education Funding Agency (EFA) for eligible students, so your music ambitions needn’t break the bank.
The course incorporates a strong element of practical music learning, with students taking part in a variety of sessions all aimed at developing the knowledge and skills needed for the successful first steps towards a music industry career.
All students also have access to the full ACM experience, which includes state-of-the-art facilities, top-level industry tutors, the ability to tap into the knowledge and connections of our Industry Link team, regular attendance at exclusive masterclasses delivered by globally successful musicians, connection to Metropolis Studios where over 50% of the UK’s chart music receives treatment, and participation in many ACM events throughout the year, such as music workshops, gigs, festivals, and trips to music industry conferences like MIDEM in Cannes, France.
