Your UCAS Application
Your UCAS application can be completed online and is divided into a number of sections that include personal information, qualifications and predicted grades and a personal statement. Each of these sections will be sent to the Universities you choose to apply to, and so you must ensure it is accurate, and shows off your attributes and why the University should consider your application.
ACM wants to ensure that you get the help you need to not only complete your UCAS application, but also ensure the pathway between application and enrolment is as smooth as possible.
Completing Your UCAS Application
Starting your UCAS application to ACM is simple with the entire step-by-step process managed via your individual UCAS profile. Once you have completed your initial registration to UCAS, you will have the option to complete each section of the application, which will change from red to green when all areas of the section are complete.
Please Note: You can save your progress at any point in the application and revisit incomplete sections as many times as you like until you are happy to progress.
Your Personal Statement
Your UCAS application includes a ‘Personal Statement’ section where you have the opportunity to show ACM why you’d be a great student and ensure we accept you. All university tutors use personal statements to compare applicants, so try to make yours stand out.
UCAS has a number of suggestions and helpful guides to help you to structure and write the best personal statement you can, including worksheets and mind maps to get you started.
After you’ve Applied to ACM via UCAS
If you’re happy with your application you can go ahead and submit it for UCAS to process and register your course selections. Remember once submitted you cannot amend your University and course choices.
Once your application is recorded by UCAS you will be able to track your application online and view the progress of your University applications, accept any offers you might receive, keep up to date with any important news regarding your application, and most importantly find out where you’re heading in September on A Level Results Day!

What Happens Next?
ACM will receive your application via UCAS automatically and will process your details, and a member of our Admissions Team and Tutors will evaluate your application against our course entry requirements. If you have not already completed an audition at ACM this will need to be booked via our Admissions Team before an offer can be made. If you have been successful in your application to ACM, your UCAS profile will update automatically.
Confirming Your Place with ACM
Once you have received feedback from all your University options on your UCAS profile, you will receive either an Unconditional Offer or a Conditional Offer from ACM and your other options. If you receive and accept an UNCONDITIONAL offer from ACM, that’s it you’re an ACM student starting in September!
If you receive and accept a CONDITIONAL offer from ACM, your place may be subject to exam results or other requirements. Those with
CONDITIONAL offers can have a backup option, so you should
always consider applying to ACM even if you’re unsure.
Once you’ve confirmed your options, all you need to do now is study hard for your exams, and await your results and confirmation of your place at ACM in August!
Student Finance
Once your UCAS offer is complete you can then begin your application for a student and maintenance loan via Student Finance. ACM is not able to arrange or manage your Student Finance application, but can help with payment options and individual Scholarships and Bursaries where applicable.

UCAS Clearing
If unfortunately you do not to meet the requirements of your Conditional offer from your first choice study option, including any revised offer made once you’ve received your results, you can still access programmes through UCAS’s Clearing system.
If you chose not to apply to ACM on your original UCAS application, you may want to consider applying for one of ACM’s Higher Education programmes through Clearing. If ACM still have places available you will be able to view and apply directly to each of the courses listed on the UCAS Clearing system – ACM will release more details about any UCAS Clearing opportunities in the run up to the A Levels results day.

How to reply to UCAS Offers
Remember If you have your heart set on ACM, once you receive decisions from all institutions, make sure that you log in to UCAS Track and lock-in ACM as your firm choice BEFORE the key UCAS deadlines.
Students who fail to provide a firm acceptance or insurance choice via UCAS Track by their designated UCAS deadline will have their applications Declined by Default (DBD) . Those who subsequently wish to reactivate their application must then do so via UCAS Extra (if available) or Clearing.
