Having been one of Australia’s busiest session singers and a regular on London’s professional music scene, Kim Chandler has bags experience and talent to boot.

Aside from singing on countless jingles worldwide, her recording and live performance credits include performing with artists such as The Bee Gees, Björk, Michael McDonald (including Lulu and Hamish Stuart), Natalie Cole, Michael Bolton, Rick Astley, Jocelyn Brown, P Diddy, Thelma Houston, Neil Diamond, Gareth Gates, Kevin Rowland (‘Dexys Midnight Runners’), Cerys Matthews (‘Catatonia’) and Uriah Heep.

“It was so great to have such a seasoned industry vocalist visit our students. Kim Chandler has such a wealth of experience as a session singer and gave a really unique perspective into this very specific industry niche. The students couldn’t help but get caught up in her enthusiasm for her work and it was so inspirational for them to experience such a consummate professional and absolute perfectionist. Her illustrious career is definitely a convincing advertisement for ACM students to invest in their craft as she has.”

During her visit to ACM, Kim took two masterclass sessions answering student questions and providing practical tips and demonstrations of vocal techniques she’d picked up throughout her music career.

ACM would like to thank Kim for taking time out to meet and enthuse our students in both sessions. We hope she enjoyed her time and that our students learnt a lot from the experience.
