ACM is a specialist music education provider with approximately 2,200 students on a range of FE and HE programmes in Music Performance, Creative Artist, Production, Technical Services and Business. The role of Part Qualified Accountant will be a full time position, working within our finance team and receiving a salary of £32,000 per annum to £36,000 per annum (dependant on experience).

- Ensuring that the systems reflect an accurate student finance position.
- Assist in the month end revenue reconciliations.
- Responsible for all postings relating to students (revenue, hardship loans, bursaries, scholarships).
- Calculate / verify management fees and ensure these are invoiced in a timely manner.
- Reconciliation of funds received from external parties and posting in the relevant systems.
- Monitoring student debt position, taking appropriate action and monthly reporting of relevant KPIs.
- Reconciliations of hardship loans / bursaries / scholarships.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and commentary for specific companies within the Group, in accordance with the agreed timetable.
- To develop reports as appropriate to meet evolving requirements of the Group including variance analysis and data analytics.
- Involvement in production of year end audit files and liaison with the auditors.
- Support the preparation of the year end statutory accounts.
- Support the forecasting / budget process.
- To be a pro-active and integral part of the Finance team, supporting the Head of Finance.
Essential Knowledge and Qualifications:
Part-qualified / Finalist CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
Ability to produce accurate work even when presented with challenging and competing deadlines.
Ability to compile and present financial information clearly and concisely.
Effective planning, organisational, time management and administrative skills.
Excellent excel skills.
Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Good understanding of accounting principles and FRS 102.
Demonstrable experience of complex reconciliations.
Recent experience of preparing management accounts with commentary.
Experience in Accounts Receivable / Credit Control.
Produced statutory accounts in accordance with FRS 102.

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Knowledge and Qualifications:
Experience of working with Sage.
Experience of preparing Group Accounts including consolidation journals.
Experience of developing budget / forecasting models.
Experience working with non-finance managers on budgets / forecasts.
