Salary range: £25,000 - £35,000


ACM is a specialist music education provider based in Guildford, with approximately 2,200 students on a range of FE and HE programmes in Music Performance, Creative Artist, Production, Technical Services and Business. Our creative and dynamic environment blends academic excellence and professionalism alongside leading-edge industry thinking and business innovation. 


 ACM is looking to add an experienced Graphic Designer to their Guildford team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Brand this role will support the design of effective and creative marketing and communication campaigns. As graphic designer you will be working to create engaging, innovative and on-brand digital and print solutions.


  • Developing design briefs that suit the needs of the business and match with ACM’s vision and mission
  • Using innovation to redefine a design brief within time and cost constraints
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design
  • Presenting finalised ideas to the Director of Marketing and Brand based on interpretation of the brief given
  • Working with a range of media, including computer-aided design, and keeping up to date with emerging technologies
  • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
  • Be able to produce clear, engaging brochures and posters that reach and appeal to a diverse range of students.
  • Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print
  • Working as part of a team to ensure all projects are completed to a strict time frame.


  • A qualification in design or relevant professional experience.
  • Competent IT skills in relevant software packages including Photoshop and InDesign
  • Experience of using CSS and marketing emails
  • A passion for high-quality design
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required to understand business and individuals needs and deliver outstanding work in terms of creativity for the specified audience
  • Ability to manage own projects and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding attention for detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • A background understanding of higher educational facilities
  • Experience in producing documents for print
