The purpose of the role Junior Learning Technologists is to provide first line support to students and staff on issues relating to Canvas, Zoom and Panopto, and to provide system administration support when necessary.
ACM are looking to recruit two full time positions, working 40 hours per week between 8am to 8pm. This will either be Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday. The positions will be worked remotely.
- Daily monitoring of the support helpdesk
- Providing 1st line technical support, responding to, and resolving support queries
- To maintain a high degree of customer service when responding to support issues
- To take ownership of support issues and seek closure ensuring all relevant support procedures are followed
- Escalation of more complex calls to the relevant support team member
- Participation in an out of hours support rota if required
- Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal)
- Proven experience in a similar learning technology support role with end-user facing responsibilities, ideally within an educational environment
- A good understanding of Canvas LMS from a system administration perspective ● Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Comfortable working with creative individuals
- Previous 1st line support experience or equivalent
- Previous experience of a HelpDesk system and remote support tools
- An excellent understanding of Canvas LMS
- A good understanding of Zoom
- A good understanding of Panopto

This job purpose reflects the core activities of the post. As the Department and the post-holder develop, there will inevitably be some changes to the duties for which the post is responsible, and possibly to the emphasis of the post itself. ACM expects that the post-holder will recognise this and will adopt a flexible approach to work. This could include undertaking relevant training where necessary. Should significant changes to the job purpose become necessary, the post-holder will be consulted and the changes reflected in a revised job purpose.
