Jamiroquai’s Paul Turner, Rob Harris and Derrick McKenzie took time out from promoting their new album ‘Rock Dust Light Star’ to visit ACM on Tuesday, 22 February.

The multi-platinum selling band conducted a masterclass in their respective disciplines of bass, guitar and drums, with ACM students having the opportunity to watch the band perform live and demonstrate particular techniques, as well as posing their own questions, to gain invaluable one-to-one advice on how to succeed in the music industry.

“We like to visit the academy as often as possible. It’s always a pleasure coming here and talking to the students. There is a lot of talent here.”
Paul Turner

“ACM is excited to welcome back one of the UK’s most dynamic and respected rhythm sections. Paul, Rob and Derrick’s master class is always eagerly anticipated by the industry’s stars of tomorrow, and is bound to be hugely beneficial to all involved.”
Nik Preston ACM Director of Educational Development
