A stellar line-up of tutors have been confirmed as members of the teaching faculty for the new ACM London campus in Clapham.
Together they are some of the most experienced musicians and music industry professionals in Europe, having worked with global superstars, performed at some of the most celebrated gigs and festivals in the world, and even been recipients of highly prestigious music awards. So if you’re a lucky ACM London student, here are just some of the amazingly talented tutors you’ll be learning from.
Cherisse Osei
ACM Drum Tutor and drummer to the stars, Cherisse can boast some of the biggest names in the industry on her CV – including Bryan Ferry, Paloma Faith and Mika. She has played Glastonbury, headlining the West Holts stage with Bryan Ferry, performed in front of 60,000 people at the Parc de Princes in Paris with Mika, and even drummed on top of a London bus at the Closing Ceremony of the Beijing Paralympics in 2008 to a TV audience of 1.5 billion.
Jono McNeil
ACM Vocals Tutor Jono began his music career in Australia, performing both as a session vocalist and original artist. Across his career he has sung with a variety of exciting artists, including Michael Buble, Josh Groban, Nelly, Lemar, George Ezra and Jocelyn Brown, as well as having several original releases as an artist in his own right. Jono has presented vocal workshops and masterclasses, provided training services for touring acts, and worked as a vocal coach for three seasons of the BBC’s hit TV programme, The Voice.
Tim Hawes
ACM Songwriting Tutor Tim is a songwriter, record producer, educator and mentor who has achieved in excess of ten million record sales across his career for artists including the Spice Girls, Five, Hear’Say, Sugababes and Mutya Buena, including five number one singles. Tim is an all rounder who produces tracks and writes top lines, but has a real passion for lyric writing. He is a recipient of the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for songwriting, and his company, Zebra1, also includes a successful publishing arm.
Adam Perry
ACM Drum Tutor Adam is a musician, businessperson, celebrity ambassador for The Prince’s Trust, and CEO and Founder of BandApp – a company he founded in 2012 which allows bands to share music, tour dates and conversations directly to their fans’ smartphones. He also launched Medical Records and Medical Music, and scored five UK No. 1 and 12 UK Top 10 singles with artists such as McFly. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Adam was in UK band A, releasing five albums over a ten year period and winning ‘Best British Band’ at the 2002 Kerrang! Awards. He also replaced the drummer of US band The Bloodhound Gang for their 2005-2007 world tour, headlining Germany’s Rock am Ring with Metallica, and remains their drummer to this day.
