Home Mastering 101: Finishing the Master and Applying EQ

In parts one and two of this series on home mastering I gave you an outline of the home mastering process and showed you how to compression and limiting to a mix without ruining the dynamics.

Now, in part 3, I’ll show you how to apply EQ to a mix to make it sound more like your favourite professional records.

This will ensure the mix translates well onto any speaker system. I’ll show you how to finish off the master by dithering the mix.
