Gary Langan is considered as one of the industries finest producers and live technicians and ACM was proud to welcome Gary back to deliver two audio production masterclass sessions to students.

Having worked with artists such as Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, Queen and many more, Gary has a wealth of industry expertise that he has gathered over a career that has spanned decades.

During the two masterclass sessions, which took place in our SSL Studio, Gary talked students through how he mixed the recent performance of ‘Video Killed the Radio Star’ performed by The Producers at ACM in April.

Gary’s recording career began as an assistant engineer at SARM Studios as the assistant on a variety of hit albums including Bay City Rollers’ “Rollin”, Queens “News of the World” and “Day at the Races” and was present to witness the first edited playback of the timeless Bohemian Rhapsody.

“It’s always a pleasure welcoming Gary back to ACM, his professional attitude and attention to sonic detail really amplify what we teach students in their lectures. This was a great follow up to the live session from The Producers in March. We’ll look forward to Gary returning again in the near future!”
