The Star / 8pm

XERO are a rock band formed in Newcastle, a powerhouse quartet consisting of Steff, Jamie, Jordan & Alex. Their music is fuelled by a mutual love for groove-based alternative rock, a disdain for posing over playing and the intent to combine their myriad of influences to create a gap that hasn’t yet been filled.

After over a year of gigging relentlessly in the North, they decided to up sticks and invade the South of England to show them how it’s done. 2016 saw them release their first single, Wanna Play? on all major music sites which earned them ‘Track of the Week’ on Amazing Radio’s Saturday Rock Show.

XERO recently released their first EP, ‘SEQUENCE’ produced by Neil Kennedy (Press To Meco, Milk Teeth), followed by two UK tours and multiple gigs in notable venues across the UK, supporting bands such as SÜMER & The Wholls. Their latest single, Podha, has gained them support from Nick Roberts at BBC Introducing and radio play on various local and national radio stations. XERO are currently recording at Metropolis studios with Liam Nolan working on their next release, which sees them further develop their distinctive rock sound.

Sick of the constant homogenisation of modern rock music, XERO have stitched a sound, woven from the fabric of their influences, that can’t be found elsewhere.

With Support from Bulgarian metal head BLOODRUSH and the riff masters SPIT this night is going to go off!! Sign up now to avoid missing this riff heavy ho down!

Neon Islands

Neon Islands are a four piece, indie/alternative band hailing from Guildford. After having met at university they spent most of 2017 gigging and working on their demo, ‘Doubts, Regrets, Apologies’, winning them BBC Introducing airtime, a festival headline slot at ‘Sick Fest 2017’ (Malta) and a series of successful support slots having opened for bands such as TRASH, The Night Cafe and RAFFER. After spending time refining their sound they played to a sold out KOKO in Camden, won a slot at The Great Escape Festival 2018 as well as Sound City 2018 to then have been hand picked by Frank Turner to play his festival, ‘Lost Evenings’.

Neon Islands are currently working on promoting their new material and image.

Prima Queen

PRIMA QUEEN is an energetic and quirky indie-rock band fronted by Louise Macphail (Bristol, England) and Kristin McFadden (Chicago, USA) whose influences range from performers as diverse as Rilo Kiley, The Killers, Fleet Foxes and Alanis Morissette. Celebrated for their dynamic approach to hip-hop, the 3 member group debuted at number 13 on the iTunes Hip-hop chart as well as charting internationally across Europe. They have been performing shows ever since and shared the stage with the likes of Ghostface Killah, EPMD, Big Daddy Kane, De La Soul and Prodigy to name a few.
