Experimental Sound and Music

Study Block 1 or 2 – 20 Credits

Exploring both an historical perspective and examples from more recent practitioners, this module aims to explore the creation of music and sound utilising a variety of experimental techniques. Interpretations of experimentalism will be discussed and demonstrated using a combination of software, hardware and performance techniques. Students will be encouraged to utilize a variety of these techniques to enhance and improve the originality of their compositions and productions.
