ACM was pleased to welcome drummer Paul Elliott to Guildford, where he delivered a drum masterclass on Friday 22nd March.

The masterclass took place in Demo Room 2 of ACM’s Artist Development Centre (ADC) from 4pm until 6pm.

Having played and recorded with the likes of Shaun Baxter, Frank Gambale, John Wheatcroft, Stu Hamm, Jont and Richard Niles as well as sharing the stage alongside Steve Smith, Manu Katche, Richard Bailey, Akira Jimbo, Mark Mondesir, Gary Husband and Erik Smith, Paul Elliott is highly respected as a player, clinician and educator.

His highly acclaimed double DVD, Technically Speaking, was released in 2000, and his teaching methods have inspired countless professional drummers, including Phil Selway (Radiohead), Jason Cooper (The Cure), Steve Kemp (Hard-Fi ), Ashley Soan (Independent), Luke Bullen (KT Tunstall), Tom Meadows (Duffy), Simon Edgoose (Independent), Mark Heaney (Gang of Four), Laurie Jenkins (Howie Day), Carlos Hercules (George Michael), Dominic Greensmith (Reef), Julian Brown (Will Young), Simon Hartop (The Barbs), Nathan Curran (Basement Jaxx), Laura Fares (Sam Sparro) and Chris Hall (Ciam).
