ACM was pleased to welcome Dean Humphreys to deliver a two hour Creative Sound Design masterclass to students in our state-of-the-art SSL Studio.
Dean Humphrey’s is a renowned film and TV sound supervisor, sound designer, editor and mixer who’s television and film credit list is something to behold. Having also worked with some of the world’s leading film directors including Bernado Bertolucci, John Schlesinger, Sir Richard Attenborough, Roman Polanski, Francois Ozon and Cristina Carios, Dean Humphreys has over two decades of film and television experience.
During the two hour Creative Sound Design masterclass spoke candidly about his work, which most recently saw him take on the role as foley and sound re-recording mixer for Liam Neeson blockbuster sequel, Taken 2.
To a packed SSL Studio, Dean also spoke to students in detail about other examples of his work, the complications of working in live sound and what he has learnt from his time on some of the worlds biggest movie sets including Interview with a Vampire, Event Horizon, The Pianist and Donnie Brasco.
