ACM London had a brilliant visit during its first ever Freshers’ Week in the form of Dave Cronen – the manager of Northern Irish indie band, Ash, and head of music management company, Trust Management, who have bands and artists on their books including Ash, Johnny Marr, Tim Wheeler, We Are Scientists, Fuck Buttons and Blanck Mass.

Dave joined us for a masterclass session which covered the ins and outs of the management business from both a manager’s and artist’s perspective. He also spoke about establishing Trust Management in 2003, which is based within RAK Recording Studios in St Johns Wood, North London, and the realities of managing a top UK band.

Our students were thoroughly impressed by the masterclass, and it seemed that Dave was suitably impressed by ACM’s offerings too.

“This is my second visit to ACM. I see establishments like ACM as being vital for getting a foot on the ladder of the industry. I’ve found that, over the past thirty years in the industry, it’s become harder to get in, and I think that ACM creates an experience and a confidence within people to find contacts and experience in the areas that they’d like to move forward in.”

We’re honoured that Dave helped to make our Freshers’ Week activities a huge success and we’d like to thank him for his hugely enjoyable and informative masterclass session. To see the latest masterclass content from ACM, subscribe to our YouTube channel now at: www.youtube.com/user/ACMGuildford
