Soda Cat

Jazz » Funk » Fusion

Soda Cat are a collaboration between four individuals stretching from London to Glasgow.

The band consist of Charlie ‘Elk’ Turner (singer/guitarist), Nana Kwarteng (keys), Harry Miller (bass), Lloyd Griffiths (drums).

Their sound reflects jazz, funk, pop and rock, remaining elusive yet concrete. Hard yet soft. Progressive yet simplistically groovy.

Taking their influence from bands such as Hiatus Kaiyote, CHON, Jacob Collier, Snarky Puppy, Nubiyan Twist and Plini, the band mixes hooks and groove with stimulating harmony and song structures.

They aim for what Michael League calls “Music for your brain and your booty”.

Blending what you know with what you don’t, they aim to create a pleasant concoction of what is comfortably familiar and refreshingly new.
