Born and raised in Reading, Berkshire – Sam Handy grew up with a special love for his parent’s record collection. He spent his childhood endlessly listening to artists such as James Brown, Joe Cocker, Elvis Presley and Queen. His love for music grew with each new record.

At eleven-years-old, he moved with his family to Atlanta, Georgia. During his years in America, he soon discovered his profound love for Blues and Country music, which inspired him to pick up the guitar and write his own songs. Artists such as Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King and Eric Clapton became huge influences for Sam.

At nineteen-years-old, Sam enrolled into the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. It was during this time Sam discovered his love for songwriting. Having been on the road for a few years with previous bands, Sam also discovered his love for performing and collaborating.

At the age of 21, Sam continues to write and perform under his own name, working harder than ever to further his work as a musician, and as an artist.
