Singer / Songwriter » Acoustic

Ellie Fountain has been singing before she could talk. After picking up a guitar at the age of fourteen, she started writing songs which have been described as “raw and organic”. Taking inspiration from artists such as Sharon Van Etten and Marika Hackman, Ellie documents the process of growing up in lyrical form, writing about heartbreak, depression, changing friendships and navigating the journey to self discovery.

In August 2012, Ellie recorded an acoustic EP, “Who We Were”, which was released in March 2013 and is available to download on iTunes and Amazon MP3. Featuring five of Ellie’s original songs, the EP follows the story of a relationship tainted from the start. In January 2013, “Pictures of You” was played by Adam Walton on BBC Radio Wales and has also been played on internet radio stations, gaining Ellie fans in the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Korea, Japan and New Zealand, as well as in the UK.

She recently released a new EP, “Here We Are”, showcasing a more developed sound and lyrics that show how she has matured over the last three years.”
