A few months after being crowned MTV’s Unsigned Artist for 2013, current ACM student Ebony Day has now topped a list of some of the music industry’s rising talents to become MTV’s Brand New for 2013.
“I’m so overwhelmed that my fans have made this win possible for me! It’s all down to their ongoing support and hard work that I have won MTV’s Brand New for 2013 and I can’t thank them enough. This is a dream come true for me, I’ve never been happier.”

Supported by her manager and fellow ACM student Lucy Tallant, the duo collected over 40% of the total votes (over 260,000 votes). All the nominees embraced the power of social media running massive social media voting drives make this year’s Brand New campaign the most successful to date.
”We are so thrilled for Ebony, not only for securing over 40% of the vote, but also being the only unsigned artist to ever win this competition. Given that previous winners have included Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Adele and Tinie Tempah this is a huge achievement. We are doubly proud as Ebony is also managed by ACM Business Degree student Lucy Tallant.”
