Another day and another ACM Showcase – this time pop took centre stage as another thirteen exclusively ACM Higher Diploma student bands took to the Electric Theatre stage to showcase their performance skills to a packed out audience.

Pop Night saw a wide variety of song choices, including a number of classic pop covers which spanned the decades as well as some originals compositions.

“I had the privilege of listening to some fabulous music performed by some really talented musicians and wicked singers! The vocalists shone with their repertoire choices, serious vocal skill and delivery. All the hard work this year paid off and culminated in a professional showcase! Well done!”
Sarah Geary Senior Lecturer – Vocals

Part one of Pop Night featured a number of unnamed high energy bands as well as Function 1 and The Mother Funkers, who performed in the Wednesday Showcase. Following a short rehearsal and sound-check session, Stella & The Rootsvibe, The John Langfield Experience, Trailing Wake and several other unnamed bands all took to the Electric Theatre stage for their twenty minute set.

ACM would like to say a massive thank you to all the ACM Higher Diploma students who took part in the Pop Showcase and for all the hard work they and the ACM team has put in throughout their year.

All of ACM’s HDip The End of Year Showcases are taking place at Guildford’s Electric Theatre with each night focusing on a different musical genre including Alternative, Pop and Electronic Music.
