After three days of full on live performances showcasing the best of rock, pop and funk from ACM’s Higher Diploma students, what better way to round off a week of high energy performances with the Alternative Night and a final hurrah to one of the world’s greatest pop superstars.

Friday’s showcase was kicked off by Hdip bands J-WOW, Alice & Junior and The Not So Average White Band. Following a short interval the Alternative Showcase was brought to a rousing concluding with student bands Blue Switch and Dye The Flux.

“Friday’s final showcases were the perfect end to the week which saw a diverse and hugely impressive display of talent rolling out of ACM. It never fails to amaze me how great the students are when they are given a platform to showcase themselves.”

The evening was rounded off with a special performance from ACM’s Jam Night Pro Workshop team who presented Michael Jackson’s Thriller – Celebrating the 30th anniversary of a masterpiece – which featured six of Jackson’s classic album tracks.

“The students who took part in the Thriller tribute show were astonishing. Congratulations to everyone who has performed this week – you have done yourselves and the college proud.”

ACM would like to say a massive thank you to all the ACM Higher Diploma students who took part in the Alternative Showcase and for all the hard work they and the ACM team has put in throughout their year.
