It seems like only yesterday that a new ACM term began and the doors opened to welcome back students and tutors alike. Add ACM’s 2012 Freshers Week to this mix and you’ve got a recipe for sparking musical expression and fun. Here are the ingredients:

ACM Live – Unplugged
Featured three acoustic sets from ACM Alumni and Crystal Fighters singer Ellie Fletcher as Kyiki as well as current students Martha Paton and Jonny Wilson the Unplugged set the tone and bar high.

Check out Ellie Fletcher AKA Kyiki’s performance of the song ‘I Heard’. This gives you a taster of ACM Freshers Week’s first night. Great way to kick the week off…

ACM Live – Jam Night
Take to the stage, showcase your skills, have fun – the three sentiments of ACM’s Jam Night. Kicked off by Free Peace, the volume and enthusiasm just grew and grew.

ACM Live – Genre Bomb
One year on from their launch ACM Alumni promoters Genrebomb returned to crank the week up to 11 with a rock night like no other – thanks to MassMatiks, Trails and the relatively new Swim Good for making it a night to remember.

ACM Live – Tutor Night
Brian Henry’s Soul Purpose took to the stage of Guildford’s Tickled Ivory Piano Bar to add an R&B twist to the week. Playing a range of funk and R&B numbers, Soul Purpose delivered a professional yet engaging live performance to a packed out crowd of ACM Freshers and returning students.

ACM would like to thank everyone who was involved throughout ACM’s 2012 Freshers Week Freshers Week. ACM would also like to thank everyone involved in the planning, preparation and management of all of this years events, for everyone who took part and for all those that came down – Roll on Freshers Week 2013!
