Wow! What a night. The closing ceremony for the London Olympic Games was one to savour.

ACM was, once again, linked to this momentous occasion with performances from our Patron Roger Taylor, who teamed up with Queen band mate Brian May and pop songstress Jessie J, in a rendition of stadium-friendly ‘We Will Rock You‘.

ACM Guitar ex-student Ed Sheeran was also featured in the ceremony alongside an all-star cast including Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Mike Rutherford (Genesis, Mike and the Mechanics) and Richard Jones (The Feeling) with an emotional rendition of Pink Floyd’s ‘Wish You Were Here‘.

Friend of ACM@UCO (University of Oklahoma) Roger Daltrey performed a classic selection of Who songs including ‘Listening to You‘ and ‘My Generation‘ alongside founding member guitarist Pete Townshend.

ACM would also like to send a big shout out to all the ACM students who participated in the London Olympic Games 2012. What a fantastic job you’ve all done. We’re immensely proud of you; one and all.
