ACM were pleased to welcome back rising Dubstep sensation and ACM Music Production Alumni Josh Mellody aka Zomboy.

During the two hour masterclass, chaired by ACM Tutor Chad Jackson, Josh spoke about his early career as a live sound production, his discovery of the Electronic music scene whilst studying at ACM and his exponential rise to stardom.

“I would never have thought about Electronic Music if I hadn’t have come to the ACM.”

Josh spoke about his early metal influences and the impact of electronic music stars such as Skrillex, Reso, Rusko, and Bare Noize, which has helped him and his sound to thrive. Josh now finds himself riding the crest of an ever growing wave of popularity for electronic music, playing to packed out venues right across the world.

The gathered ACM student and tutor audience asked a host of questions about Josh’s experiences on tour, his live and recording rigs and the finer details of how he writes, produces and performs.

Josh was also kind enough to share a few of his closely guarded plugin secrets to the students and also an EXCLUSIVE play of his upcoming single release due out on 4th March.

“As an ex ACM student, our good friend Zomboy is a great inspiration to the current students. His masterclass today was fantastic, with a great balance of production tips and nuggets of great advice for the aspiring Dubstep and Electro producers. I’ve been inundated with messages from the students since the masterclass finished, begging me to get him back in again!”
