Want to play in a band and learn new skills, or perhaps learn how to record your own music? ACM Summer School is the only place to be.

With Performance and Production courses specifically designed for students of different ages, the ACM Summer School supports your aspirations of becoming a better musician in a relaxed, fun and custom-built environment.

Find the Right ACM Summer School Course for YOU

  • Over 16’s – £299
  • 2-7pm

This is the same for both production and performance students
Summer school performance looks at 3 different genres of music, Blues, Funk and Rock. Each day consists of a of 3×1.5 hr workshops specific to the genre for that day with regular band or performance workshops.

Tutors are specifically chosen for the genre they are most comfortable with and classes have around 15-20 students on average.

  • 10am-1pm

Summer school performance looks at 3 different songs during the week. The week’s task is to record and produce a track from scratch using Apples LOGIC Audio software.

You will learn the skills to be able to record some acoustic instruments , edit them in software and use as samples to enhance you track.

You will get hands on experience in an analogue recording studio using an analogue mixing desk as well as gaining the skills to be able to mix and master on a computer.

  • Microphone Theory
  • Compression
  • Using Effects and Plugins
  • Using the Patchbay
  • Mixing
  • Mastering
  • Editing Midi and Audio
  • Recording bass, drums acoustic and electric guitars

Each day consists of 3×1.5 hr sessions either in our MIT suite using the latest Apple computers or in one of our State of the art recording studios. There are two breaks during the day 1×15 min and 1×30 min break at 5pm to allow for food and drink.
