Music Business School - Introduction

The ACM Business School is a market leader delivering trained graduates into the heart of the music, media, creative and technology industries via a one year Higher Diploma and two year accelerated Degree programme.

The ACM lecturing team draw on their extensive industry experience and their wide ranging networks to deliver real world experience into the lecture room. All Business tutors work in their areas of expertise giving students a unique insight to a fast changing and evolving industry.

Working closely with the Business Development Centre, the Business School provides students with first class opportunities to gain work placements and graduate positions in leading businesses.

The first year of the accelerated degree programme is underpinned by formal business tools and empowers the student to apply the knowledge they have gained in practical ways through their assignments, attending industry events and developing their skills as young business entrepreneurs or managers.

The second year of the course increases in intensity and provides the student with effective marketing knowledge drawn from all manner of industry projects, together with the understanding of how to apply such techniques to their own work.

The Business School also delivers business modules to all the performance and production courses to ensure that all students leaving ACM have a good understanding of the industry, the opportunities and challenges they may face and a practical grasp of key organisations that can assist their future career path.
