Julia Martin - Lecturer
Originally classically trained at a Conservatoire, Julia moved into the music industry gaining experience in many diverse areas including: celebrity and fashion PR for high-profile international musicians, music journalism and audio engineering. She continued academic training, with a PGCE, and an MMUS with Distinction in 'Psychology and Philosophy of Popular Music'. Her research on Popular Music has been presented at International music research conferences and published in the journal Psychology of Music.
She is also lecturing at Southampton University whilst she completes a PhD researching changes in Psychology and Philosophy of Popular Music's production and reception in the Digital Age.

Oli Sussat - Lecturer
Oliver comes to us with a broad range of industry experience under his belt. After a three-year stint with international concert giant, Clear Channel Entertainment (now Live Nation), he himself became a student of the Music Business School here at ACM in 2003. After finishing his studies two years later, Oliver swapped concerts-for-grownups with concerts-for-kids when he formed FUNtastic!, a music-led brand for the children’s entertainment marketplace which has achieved music-product sales in excess of ½ million units, worldwide. Specialising in new routes-to-market and futurist strategies for product delivery, Oliver’s projects have been linked with the likes of the BBC, EMI Music Publishing and Universal Music Group. As well as forming part of the Business and Production School faculties at ACM, Oliver's time is split between FUNtastic! and CBeebies television presenter, Sid Sloane, whom he also manages. Oli brings a wealth of experience to student on our music business courses.
Sacha Taylor-Cox - Lecturer
Sacha has a career history that has spanned over 15 years at a senior level in music, youth brand and entertainment PR. Starting her career as a music publicist in the 90's she worked on a range of dance acts such as Paul Oakenfold, David Holmes, Seb Fontaine, Darren Emerson, Moloko, Morcheeba and global club and festival brands such as Cream/ Creamfields, MTV Ibiza, Manumission, State of Exit Festival and Ministry of Sound. She has worked in house as Head Of Press at XFM, Kiss FM, Warchild, Popstar pictures and Lime Pictures, who produce Hollyoaks and Grange Hill along with managing several up and coming indie bands and long term PR campaigns for bands such as Bush and Ocean Colour Scene. Over the last 8 years Sacha has become a specialist consultant working on brand partnerships within the music and entertainment industry and directing multi platform youth brand pr campaigns, events and celebrity endorsements for clients such as; V Youth volunteering, HMV, Ninetendo Gameboy, Cuervo Tequlia, Flora proactiv, MTV and Levi's.
Sacha currently works as a consultant running the celebrity management division at Impressive PR and as business development Director for Get Involved. Her regular live projects are: MTV Ibiza, Bestival, Altitude Festival, Madness House Of Fun, Brighton Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Festival and management of apprentice star Stuart Baggs. Her specialities are; Strategic, creative & integrated PR and marketing campaigns for brands, celebrities, festivals and events, brand/ artist & celebrity ambassador negotiations, acquisitions & liaison.
Sacha also teaches Higher Diploma MMR Business and Brands module at ACM.

In addition to their management, publishing and production wings Nettwerk is a record label with a roster across an eclectic range of genres. Virgin Radio (1992-95) Position: Senior Sales Account Manager
As well as lecturing at ACM on our music business courses Mike runs his own marketing, creative and strategy consultancy working with UK and International labels and artists. He has over 20 years of industry experience working with companies and brands including The Observer, GQ, NME, Melody Maker and Virgin Radio.
Chris Parles - Lecturer
After graduating from the University of Westminster with a 1st class Degree in Commercial Music, Chris worked as an A&R Manager for 3 major record labels including Virgin, Mercury Records and Sony BMG; signing and working with artists such as Blue, Atomic Kitten, Robert Plant, Natalie Imbruglia and Lulu, as well as the BBC Fame Academy talent show. Chris is currently consulting for the Universal Music group and also co-owns an independent record label and artist management company. Chris can also be found at ACM teaching on our music business courses.Alex Donelly - Lecturer
As a Broadcast media and Music industry expert with over 20 years experience Alex started as a music discographer for the MCPS before joining Kiss FM as a librarian. He then became a music programmer and then the assistant to the head of music for the station. In 1997 Alex joined BBC Radio 1 as a music scheduler and re-vamped the music policy of the station. This led to his Senior Music Manager role in 1999. In 2000 he became Head of Music & adopted a ‘new music’ policy which helped UK artists such as Coldplay, The Streets and Basement Jaxx to get broken, as well as international artists such as Eminem.
Alex instigated the ‘Live Lounge’ and as head of live music was the driving force behind ‘One Big Weekend’.
In 2005 Alex left Radio 1 to become Senior A&R manager at EMI Music Publishing where he helped A&R Amy Winehouse’s 10m selling album ‘Back To Black’, as well as signing Scouting For Girls. In 2008, Alex joined Channel 4 Radio as Head of Music, across their 3 new stations and since 2009 has been Radio consulting to the BBC & UBC, lecturing on Radio and Music publishing, Managing artists and the general managing of Relentless records.
Brian Henry - Lecturer
Brian Henry has been teaching at ACM on our music business courses for the last 7 years. He is also a freelance music business consultant working with both major and independent labels in artist development and management issues. Also an established producer and session player has written and played keyboards for various artists including: Donna Summer, Natalie Cole, Mica Paris, Gabriel, Mark Morrison and D'angelo to name a few.

Over 25 Years of Music Industry Experience including Publishing, Record Label, Management, Digital and other areas of exploitation of Intellectual Copyright. Experience in almost every aspect of the Music Industry, worked as a Consultant for many labels, including Arista (BMG) and EMI. Part of a production team that had projects signed to Warners, MCA and Telstar.
Music House: - Founder and CEO. Created the UK’s largest and most successful independent music promotions company, working at Club, Radio, TV and International promotions for virtually every successful UK and European label and most major artists at some point.
The Asylum Management Group: - Founder and CEO. Managed the careers of various song writing and production teams responsible for over 60 million records sold. Artist management included a selection of Platinum Selling Acts (Such as Misteeq). Developed acts that have involved people like Randy Jackson (American Idol) and Mick Fleetwood
Bob James Management Services: - Founder and owner, managing a new wave of Artists and Writers.
Anthony Hall - Lecturer
Anthony Hall is a dual qualified lawyer (11 years PQE English solicitor and admitted New York Attorney); and majority owner and managing director of Pure Mint Recordings Limited, an independent UK record label. Anthony was admitted as a solicitor at West End Media law-firm Schillings (Keith Schilling) in 1997 and admitted to the New York Bar in 2002. He has worked as in-house counsel for Carlton Television (1998-2000) and Chrysalis Television (2000-2002), before embarking on setting up Pure Mint in 2002 and establishing his own specialist media law consultancy (Entertainment Advice) in 2004. He also sits as an Independent member of the International Legal Committee of the IFPI.
Anthony is a musician and writer who released several records in the early 1990’s. He enjoys relaxing by reading, painting and composing at the piano. He can also be found at ACM on our music business courses.
